突然在網路上看到一則新聞，介紹了貓空，為什麼叫做貓空？
這個問題，在那天去坐貓纜時，也曾經在導覽資料上看到。
結果，現在卻只記得資料上的冷笑話：貓空沒有貓，
反倒忘了真正的原因是當地的壺穴地形(Pot hole)。
壺穴在高一的地理課本中曾經出現過，不過，現在也只記得是跟侵蝕有關。
想想，學過、背過的東西，到現在，似乎也忘得差不多了
貓空纜車：Maokong Gondola
什麼是 Gondola 呢？
奇摩的解釋有三個：
1. (用於義大利威尼斯運河的)平底狹長小船
2. (鐵路上的)敞篷貨車
3. (空中作業時用的或汽球、飛艇、空中纜車等的)吊籃,吊艙
我的英英字典，則是解釋成：
a long narrow boat that is used especially in Venice.
It has a flat bottom and curves upwards at both ends.
A person stands at one end of the boat and uses a long pole to move and steer it.
似乎只有第一個意思而已
那麼，別的地方的纜車又怎麼稱呼呢？
日本的箱根登山電車叫做：Hakone Tozan Railway，
再往上一點，變成登山纜車時，就叫做：Hakone Tozan Cable Car，
最後，到了早雲山，就變成了：Hakone Ropeway。
最後，來看看維基百科的說法吧：
A cable car is any of a variety of transportation systems relying on cables to pull vehicles along or lower them at a steady rate, or a vehicle on these systems.
An aerial tramway consists of a cabin suspended from a cable, pulled by another cable.
A gondola lift consists of a loop of cable that is strung between two or more stations, usually over intermediate supporting towers, from which cars are suspended.
